Beginning in May 2018, I have worked with a team from EBSCO to set-up and test EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) on the Library’s website. This will allow students and faculty to search across all Library materials (book, eBooks, databases) at the same time.
Fall 2020 Update
- Configured EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) to work in conjunction with Alma/Primo. This involved working closely with EBSCO to create an automated process that published all of our MARC records from Alma to display in EDS.
- Worked with EBSCO to incorporate large amounts of new eBooks, streaming video records, and other new database assets into our EDS profile.
Spring 2019 Update
EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) has required ongoing maintenance since it’s official launch in Fall 2018. This has included: adding and removing open source databases, troubleshooting various issues with the vendor, and helping to coordinate the monthly MARC record uploads in conjunction with our Systems Administrator (Richard Oberlin).
